Now that there are so many apps at our disposal, many human resource managers may ask you to share your resume on their WhatsApp.

Sending a resume in Whatsapp

It's nothing weird; because hunting down the profile from the site or an email is more daunting than getting it right at the moment for further reach. All you need to do is attach the document, be it in Word or PDF, from a professional point of view, PDF works better.

Sending a resume through WhatsApp is a convenient and quick way to apply for a job or share your professional credentials with someone.

Here are the steps to follow to send your resume in WhatsApp:

  1. Open WhatsApp on your mobile device.
  2. Tap on the chat icon at the bottom right corner of the screen to open a new chat window.
  3. Choose the person or group you want to send your resume to and tap on their name to open the chat.
  4. Tap on the attachment icon (paperclip icon) at the bottom left corner of the screen.
  5. Select "Document" from the menu that appears.
  6. Choose the resume file you want to send from your device's document or file manager.
  7. Once you've selected the resume, tap on the "Send" button to send it.

It's a good idea to confirm with the recipient that they have received your resume and that it is in a format they can open and view. It's also a good idea to follow up with a formal email or message to confirm your application or interest in the position.
